Counter Thought is a forum for biblical, non-traditional discussion as an alternative to religious rhetoric.

I did my pastoral education backwards. I dropped out of school because a small church needed a pastor, and I learned ministry—and theology—on the job. Then I went to seminary to learn how to do what I had already been doing for years. That means that by the time theologians told me how I should believe, my biblical worldview was already well formed. And when tested against what I heard in class, it did not always agree.

Tradition needs to be questioned, not with hostility, but with a desire for truth. CounterThought presents some of my own findings, and provides opportunity for others to present theirs as we seek truth together in respectful dialogue and honest exchange.
